Jeff K Storey

Jeffrey K. Storey, also known as Jeff, has been the President and Chief Operating Officer of Lumen Technologies Inc (LUMN) since November 1, 2017.

Storey served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of WilTel Communications Group Inc., from October 31, 2002, to December 2005. He also served as the Chief Operating Officer at Level 3 Communications, Inc. since December 8, 2008. 

Storey served at Leucadia National Corporation as President of Leucadia Telecommunications Group. 

After choosing a career in telecommunications in 1983 at Southwestern Bell Telephone, Storey went on to become Vice President and General Manager of Operations of WilTel Communications Group Inc., from May 2002 to October 2002 and Senior Vice President of Operations from September 2000 to July 2002 and was responsible for all its network operations. 

From January 2000 to September 2000, he served as Vice President of Local Access responsible for developing and implementing its access strategy. From May 1999 to January 2000, he served as its Executive Director of voice services. 

Before joining WilTel Communications Group Inc., he served as Vice President of Commercial Services of Cox Communications from March 1998 to May 1999. From 1994 to 1998, he served as Vice President and General Manager of Cox Fibernet. 

Storey has a Master's degree in Telecommunications Systems from the Southern Methodist University.

He has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics and Mathematics from the Northeastern State University.
